What are the membership requirements?
Additional and more rigorous membership requirements may vary between each chapter, however the grand chapter mandates the following minimum requirements:
Each SSP member must-
be a student at an osteopathic medical college
have successfully completed at least one semester of classroom work, demonstrated by passing scholastic standing
show a high degree of scholarship and service to their university as well as the osteopathic profession
How many students can each chapter have in its membership?
Membership shall not exceed 25% of the total of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th year classes.
Is there a location on eras for ssp?
Yes. Membership in SSP is a widely recognized sign of success in medical school that has helped many of our Alumni match into competitive residency programs.
